About the Conference:
iask, Inc. is committed to cutting edge programs and events that bring health, wellness, and positive relationship development to Professional African American women. Last year’s focus was on emotional health and wellness. This year we are focused on relationships. With the input of our men’s advisory board we decided to include men in our special dialogue about self improvement and relationships. This is the one conference you do not want to miss. We will have something for everyone: Married couples, singles, divorced, college students, and blended families (married for 2nd time with stepchildren). By and large we are going to let the men lead and speak so that we as women can hear from them what it is they want, need, and are seeking in relationships with women

Yes, it is true we are bringing brothers & sisters together to “talk”—engage in compelling workshops, panel discussions, and a town hall reception featuring some of Washington. D.C.’s finest media personalities, speakers, authors, and a few surprise national celebrity guests too!

Iask, Inc. and our partners and sponsors have put together a one of a kind event that will bring black men and black women together to TALK. This groundbreaking event will offer an entire day of interactive workshops, small group discussions, panels, and a town hall. This event will offer something for everyone: Singles, Married couples, divorced, blended families, and Gen Y. We will take a look a the notion of the "happy Black couple." To some, that phrase seems like the ultimate oxymoron. That's because so many people buy into the notion that the battles between Black men and Black women are so fierce that maintaining a stable, committed relationship is virtually impossible. True enough, Brothers and Sisters often find themselves staring across a great divide that makes coupling up a challenge. Still, countless Black couples are thriving, defying the stereotypes and the mythology that says Black couples can't make it.

These couples are all around us, and we can learn from them and from our unique history how to identify--and how to defy--the biggest myths about Black male/female relationships. Come join us for a day you will not soon forget. This event will feature the “brothers” and we will hear from them candidly as they tell us how they feel, what they want, what they need, and how much they truly love and adore black women.
