What I like about iask is the fact that there are so many caring 'children of Christ' who show that they care about each other by sharing hurts, happiness, sorrow and life lessons. It seems that every time I am down or a friend is in need of a positive message, the weekly message of inspiration is right on time! I really enjoy the scriptural references that I can study for myself and share with others as well. I love the messages and keep them in my folders.

The Christmas Tea was my first event with the iask organization but even before that, the connection I had with Sophia and her warm and giving spirit and trying to help promote a sista was really moving to me! It is very rare nowadays when we women of color try to support our own because of jealously and resentment. Me myself, I have always encouraged other women because I know a seed will be planted and in turn God will bless you even greater. To say all of that, the Christmas Tea was so moving and I could feel the love and support and I believe because of the leader that Sophia is, God draws these type of women together and I am glad I am apart of it, continue to be encouraged and know that God is well pleased with what you are doing. (I know I got carried away so you can narrow it down, but I was feeling this from the heart)

I have always been a really charismatic person. I can attract the right people and get things done. From time to time, when the rubber met the road, I would back down. Back down from my destiny, back down from my dreams, and sometimes back down from the very call God has placed on my life. From the outside, you would never know this but I knew. One day, while playing golf in a women's tournament, I met the most bubbly person. That person was Sophia Nelson. She invited me to join their women's group, I Am My Sister's Keeper. Not only that, she invited me to be her friend, and my life has not been the same. I now have a network of people who pray for me and I for them. I now know what it is like to truly know that someone is keeping and encouraging you, and the awesome responsibility (change words) the awesome privilege it is to be the post to keep your sister standing. I would admonish any sister, who reads through these testimonies to become a part of this phenomenal network of women ... Women of courage, women of faith, women of purpose, women of destiny, women of trials, and women of triumphs. I can say that my shell has been shattered and now I can be what God has called all of us to be ... My Sisters' Keeper.

As a Breast Cancer survivor, I recently had a scare that the Cancer may have come back. Thankfully it did not.
